I Lived

I owned every second that this world could give

Have you ever felt like there is something missing from your life? Like you are not satisfied? Everyone feels that way once in a while. Humans tend not to be satisfied with what they have. However, sometimes it’s not about what you  have, but your attitude towards what you have.

The way you live is really important, and it’s what defines you as a person. Positive people tend to attract  more people and achieve more. This is caused by your positive energy attracting more positive energy. Negative people tend to see the negative side of everything, and attract less positive results. The way you live now will impact your future years and how you live them.

Some people make positivity sound really easy. It can be, but only if you actually make a commitment to live every day of your life at your best. It’s just a matter of making it a habit. Everyone struggles with this; there is not one person in this world who hasn’t struggled with it. Even the most peaceful person has had to work hard to get where he is. It is like anything else in life; if you want to achieve it, you have to make an effort.

To make it simpler: don’t you want to live to your full capacity, and be able to look back at everything and tell yourself “I did it, and I’m satisfied”?

That’s how we should be living our lives every day, having no regrets and doing our best at everything. Doing your best does not mean being the best; it means giving it all you can, and little by little moving closer to where you want to be. Life is short, and that’s something we should be keeping in mind.  Don’t we want to live our short time to our best capacity? To make our lives a dream come true, to make everything we ever imagined possible?

Being happy and positive is a choice. It is a way of being. You have the choice to wake up every morning and tell yourself “Today I’m going to  give it my all, everything I have. I am going to have a very positive attitude”. It can be hard, but it is not impossible. Little by little you’re going to turn yourself into a positive unicorn, special and filled with joy.

Here are some questions to reflect on every time you feel like you’re struggling to stay positive:

Is this really affecting you? How much of an impact will it have a couple of years from now?

Is it really something to be negative about? Or is it just your fear of facing your true feelings?

Is it not worth the effort? Isn’t positivity benefitting you?

“I Lived”, by OneRepublic, is a perfect example of a positive and open-minded philosophy. I suggest taking a look at it and analyzing the lyrics. Apply it to your life, and create the life that you always wanted.
